Children begin with globes and study the seven continents in the
world. Looking at all countries individually of continent they will
recognize the animals and other artifacts which originate
from each continent.
The land forms teach geographical features. Children will learn
through a set of model showing islands, bays, capes, peninsular,
isthmuses and lakes for children to fill with water. The wonderful
scale models of the planets and the solar system will be shown
in the classroom too.
Science materials such as magnets, light and air enable children to
understand more about science at work in our daily life.
Children use classification cards for naming, matching or
identifying anything and everything. When children leave
Montessori school, the breadth of knowledge they have of their
world can be quite astounding.
